Haarlem: The 'Gerrit Slenders' (deceased in 1832) lived at the Hagestraat, district 2, no. 506. In the Census of 1829 of Haarlem, the main resident at this address Hagestraat 506 was >> Bartholomeus Hommes, ‘ binnenvader’ and bookkeeper of the R.K. Orphanage and Poorhouse.
https://nl.wiktionary.org/wiki/binnenvader . Names of a few carers noted at the same address.

I wonder if a different list was kept for all the residents of the orphanages- and poorhouses in Haarlem? This address was the 'RK Wees-en Armenhuis St. Jacob' [later Sint-Jacobs Godshuis, now Rosenstock Huessyhuis], located in the Hagestraat in Haarlem. At that time, it served as shelter and housing for orphans and the poor. -- [ see for more info via tinyurl: https: //tinyurl.com/54znkesn ].

Kantoor Haarlem > Inv. nr. 1573, 1832 2e halfjaar. See image 649 van 663. Unfortunately, not many Memorie van Successie were kept. In general, the 'negative' pleadings (the deaths where no tax was levied) were destroyed.
Back to Maarheeze, 1818: The info in the Memorie van Successie after Johanna de Zwart's (and her other name variants) death in Maarheeze in 1818 provide more certainty that her son - Gerardus Slenders, born in 1769 in Maarheeze - was still alive in 1818. See index here at BHIC. In the Memorie van Successie you will find the declaration of the estate of the late Johanna de Zwart, who died March 24, 1818 Maarheeze. She was the mother of Adrianus (*1768) , Gerardus (*1769) en Petrus (*1771) .

Bladeren door de bron >>> Scan on page 275 of 555. Declaration was made by her sons **Piet, Adriaan and Gerrit Slenders **, living in Maarheeze, province of North Brabant, choosing domicile at the home of the first mentioned.....[they] declare that Johanna de Zwart, widow of the late Johannes Slenders, and… **their mother** (as mentioned in the margin) ...died in Maarheeze etc. From this you can conclude that her son, Gerrit Slenders (* 1769), was still alive in 1818. Her other two sons (Piet and Adriaan) will have know their brother Gerrit!
And Gerrit was still alive in 1824 (temporarily living in Sassenheim), but not alive anymore in 1836.
See the ' huwelijksbijlagen’ of his sons Theodorus and Petrus in 1824 and 1836. See FS. The ‘huwelijksbijlagen’ for son Theodorus in 1824 contain a statement in which father Gerrit Slenders gave his consent. He ven signed with Geret Slenders. Alas.. no extract about the mother’s death in 1815.. Perhaps lost between the many ‘huwelijksbijlagen’? For Theodorus in second marriage in 1836 the marriage docs contain an extract of the death of his father Gerrit in 1832 in Haarlem. The ‘huwelijksbijlagen’ for son Petrus in 1836 contain an extract of the death of his mother Jansje Kloes in 1815 and that of his father Gerrit Slenders in 1832 in Haarlem. Also included here is the consent from the Military, mentioning that Petrus Slenders served 5 years under 3rd Comp. of the 10th Infantry Division. You can find his ‘Stamboek’ number via the index and then you can find the registration in the Stamboek register under no. 12392, see FS. From this registration in 1824, it can be concluded that his father was still alive in 1824 and his mother deceased. See FS :
