Richard, thank you for the information about sgt. R.W. Richardson
Dear Gethyn, can I ask you a question? In 2012 I published a book about camp Dennenlust in Lierop (only in Dutch, I tried to get it published in the UK but didn't succeed). My uncle, a catholic priest, was chaplain in Dennenlust and also he was involved in the underground movement. He was the chaplain, who in May 1944 brougt Eric Grisdale by bike to the camp.
In 2015 I visited Jack Trend, an R.A.F airman, who also stayed in Dennenlust.
He told me about his time with Eric and other colleagues in the camp and later on their way back to the UK, a journey that took them more then two months.
Since 2012 I got a lot of additional information about the camp and met more relatives of men in the camp. So once I hope to publish a new book.
You understand I'm looking for all I can get about what happened in the camp.
That's why I ask you to please contact me via
